01Overview
JUGOP-HUB is a business-to-business network for the mining, oil and gas sector. We collect the information we need to run that network, keep it secure, and improve it, and we do not sell your personal information.
This policy uses “personal information” to mean information that identifies, relates to, or can reasonably be linked to an individual. It should be read together with our Terms of Use.
02Who is responsible for your information
JUGOP-HUB is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We are based in Ghana and process personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and other applicable law. You can reach us at hello@jugop-hub.com.

- Support & communications: messages you send us and your marketing or notification preferences.
Information we collect automatically.
- Device & usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and actions taken, used to operate and secure the Platform.
- Session records: sign-in events and active sessions, which you can review and revoke.
- Location: a location you enter (for example a site location for a need), which may use an address-autocomplete service to standardise it.
- Cookies & similar technologies: as described under Cookies.
Information from third parties.
- Sign-in providers: if you sign in with Microsoft or Google, we receive basic profile details such as your name and email to create or access your account.
- Payment provider: transaction status and limited payment metadata.
- Referrals: if someone refers you, we learn that you were referred so we can apply any reward.
04How we use information
- to create and administer your account and company workspace;
- to operate the network: publishing needs to relevant partners, delivering offers, enabling messaging, and managing the process;
- to process payments, subscriptions, invoices, credits, and referrals;
- to verify companies and maintain trust and safety on the Platform;
- to provide AI-assisted features such as ranking and summaries (see AI processing);
- to send service messages (for example verification codes, offer and message notifications, and billing notices);
- with your consent where required, to send updates and marketing you can opt out of at any time;
- to secure the Platform, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms;
- to analyse and improve the Platform; and
- to comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
05Our lawful bases
Under Act 843 we rely on one or more of the following bases when we process your personal information:
- Performance of a contract: to provide the Platform and the features you use.
- Consent: for optional cookies and marketing, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Platform, prevent abuse, and run our business, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation: to meet accounting, tax, and other legal requirements.
06AI processing
Some features use AI to rank offers against a need, summarise information, and answer questions. To provide these, relevant content may be processed by third-party AI providers that act as our processors under contract and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- We do not use AI to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you solely by automated means without a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards.
- AI outputs are guidance; you and other users remain responsible for decisions. Where a CV is anonymised, identifying details are removed before it is shared with other users.
09International transfers
Some of our service providers operate outside Ghana, so your personal information may be transferred to and processed in other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from Ghana’s. Where we make such transfers, we take steps to ensure your information remains protected in line with Act 843 and this policy, including through contractual safeguards with our providers.
10Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, then for as long as necessary to meet legal, accounting, tax, dispute-resolution, and security requirements.
- When you close your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we must retain it (for example transaction records) or where it remains in secure backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
- Short-lived data such as one-time verification codes is deleted shortly after use.
- Some content you shared with other users (for example a message or a completed transaction record) may remain visible to those users after your account closes.
11Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of traffic in transit, hashing of passwords, one-time codes and session controls for sign-in, rate limiting, access controls, and company verification. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will act on and, where required, report security incidents in accordance with the law.
12Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, where there is no overriding reason to keep it;
- object to or ask us to restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out; and
- ask about the third parties with whom we have shared your information.
To exercise any of these, contact us at hello@jugop-hub.com. We may need to verify your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
13Candidates & anonymous CVs
If you share a CV, we process it to make you discoverable to businesses on the Platform. Where you choose the anonymous option, we remove direct identifiers before your CV is shown to other users, and your identity and contact details are revealed only when you respond to interest or choose to reveal them. You can ask us to update or remove your CV at any time.
14Children
The Platform is intended for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
15Third-party sites & content
The Platform may link to third-party sites, and sponsored content may direct you elsewhere. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their policies before providing personal information.
16Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example by posting a notice on the Platform or updating the date above. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
